Peter does encourage investors, where appropriate, to utilise new issue debt instruments such as bonds and capital notes.

These are almost always issued by large companies to raise money for spending on their own projects and development. Usually offer fixed rates for long terms (5-10 years) or sometimes on a perpetual basis, i.e. they never mature but can be sold at any time).

Most debt issuers use a range of investment (merchant) banks to assist with this form of capital raising. The Money People Ltd have relationships with (but not limited to) ANZ Institutional, Direct Broking, Westpac Institutional Bank, First NZ Capital, Forsyth Barr, GSJB Were. Peter & The Money People Ltd are eligible to receive a proportion of the brokerage payable by the issuers. This will vary from issue to issue and is likely to vary from 0.25% to 1.50% of the invested amount.

The Money People also has a supplier arrangement with Sentinel LifeTime Loans.
Brokerage payable is a one off payment of 1.5% of the settled amount of the loan plus $200. Should a further draw down occur a further brokerage of 1.5% of the extra draw down amount is paid as brokerage.

From time to time, Peter Hensley may receive certain non-monetary benefits from product providers.   This could include gratuities such as a bottle of wine at Christmas time, a free calendar, pen or book, the occasional luncheon, drinks after a briefing session, invitations to sporting events etc.

Peter also has a policy to fully disclose any and all of these invitations in his regular newsletters.
